Hello all in the Bridgemen family.
One of our own had some difficulties between yesterday and today, Sept. 27th. I began a call back to him to catch up on life and was surprised that his wife (and our sister) Leslie answered his cell phone. In between the static of a 3000 mile seperation and her shaken up voice, I was able to learn that Carl is in a hospital in Easton PA tonight for tests on his heart.
Kevin and I know him to back in our youth, having marched with him in the Chessmen in Easton and Regency in the Allentown area, and to us he is as close as blood. We don't want to lose him now, or any time soon. When Carl fell on the field at Allentown last season, he became part of Bridgemen lore for all time. We are rooting for him to get back up this time too!
Please keep him, Leslie and "The Peanut" (their baby, Savanah) in your thoughts and prayers.
I plan to call them again later tomorrow (Friday) to find out more.
Thank you
Semper Fidelis,

Thanks to everyone who saw this. I got an email from Carl this morning that he is home from the hospital. Here's a segment of what he said:
"I'm home from the hospital, I didnt call earlier to let you know because I know how hard it would have been for you. I thought I was gonna see my Grandparents again...I thought I was gonna miss my Baby girl growing up.... I Thought I wasn't going to see my granson thats due in November. and I though I wasnt going to be able to Hold my wife, and laugh with my best freinds again. And I was scared really f***in scared.
I know medicine has come a long way and that they can perform miracles but I also know my luck. Yet after all the stuff I had to do yesterday I'm still in pain. It seems all they did was rule out my heart. Although that's great, there are still other things that are bad as well.
I have to go back to the Cardiologist today so maybe they will have more ideas." If you know his home number, ring him up. I don't think he'd object to a cell call:

Carl,
You and your family will definitely be in my prayers... Hope they figure it out soon, because not knowing can be the worst thing of all. God gave the "Bridgemen Family" many miracles this past year, and I'm sure one more won't be a problem. Remember our rays of sunshine through a cloudy day, he likes us !!

We will keep them under that watchful eye of The Good Lord and pray that all will be okay. Family to family, heart to heart, and kind thoughts for them. We will be hoping and praying for good news and restored health.
